Did you know that the Asia Pacific region in 2009 will cross the 2 billion mobile connections threshold for the first time. It is projected that the Asia Pacific market will exceed 3 billion connections in 2013.

VGNP in KUALA LUMPUR

VG News Portal will meet Asian editors and CEO`s in the Newsroom Summit Asia 09 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, July 8-9th.
VGNP will have a stand and a presentation at the conference of the idea behind the product. Project Manager Vidar Meisingseth from VG and Mr. Fredrik Davidsson from Teknograd AS will represent the VG News Portal.
"VGNP Mobile Reporter" is one of the new tools which are available at the Newsroom Summit. A small application in the Nokia or the Iphone makes it possible to send pictures with two clicks directly into the portal.. The pictures arrives in original, not with MMS-reduction. Of course text might be sent at the same time.
A "Locate Resource "-tool is also one of the news. If anything happens somewhere, the editors immediately may find the closest freelance photographer or contact - shown on the Google map. The first one to be on the scene, is the winner.
